How to Use

The matter is before the court on the Complainant’s application for preliminary approval of a proposed new generic version of Xenical (Orlistat XR), which the Complainant is seeking to market as Orlistat (Xenical).

The Complainant has filed a formal amendment to the Complaint in the U. District Court of New Jersey seeking preliminary approval of the generic version of Xenical. Xenical is a tried and tested which has been available on prescription in the UK since 1998. It is licensed by the MHRA as a weight loss treatment and for weight management. Xenical is the branded version of the generic medication.

Xenical’s active ingredient is Orlistat. Orlistat is what’s known as a lipase inhibitor, which means that it reduces your body’s ability to break down and absorb fat, so you retain less of the fat that you eat. Xenical prevents roughly 33% of the fat you consume being absorbed into the body.
